Installation

All our canopies are designed to be installed by competent DIYer or non-specialist tradesmen.

The smallest canopy weighs around 25 kg so you will need another pair of hands and sturdy working platform such as a single stage of tower scaffolding.

We supply detailed instructions for each specific canopy type. Holes need to be marked out and drilled accurately in relation to the dimensions in the instructions,

We provide all components that are normally necessary to complete the installation i.e. allen keys , one or two spare fasteners, washers etc..

Our MD is looking very pleased with himself..

We supply fixings suitable for most stone or brick walls but advise you to seek expert advice on fixing to other forms of construction.

We supply a compliant rubber gasket which fits between the inner edge of the glass and the wall. Walls which are not flat within around 10mm may need additional silicon sealer to be applied.

Some customers prefer to use aluminium flashing, perhaps 100mm wide, to cover where the glass meets the wall. This looks best trimmed to a curve around 50mm above the glass.

If the worst happens and you manage to break the glass during self-installation we can supply a replacement at something like 1/3 of the total canopy cost.
